6. The only way I think that we can combat the persistent stupidity in this country going forward is...

...to appoint someone there that is:

(1) Has a STRONG personality.
(2) Is strongly progressive.
(3) Is STRONGLY pro-Democratic Party, meaning they don't take pot shots at the party like many prominent progressives unfortunately do.
(4) Is willing to FIGHT, to get on the networks and take the fight to conservative propaganda bullshit.

Now, who in California fits that bill?

I think Schiff deserves it the most, but again, we are learning that politics is almost as much of a "spectacle" as it is anything else nowadays. And Schiff, while superb on substance, is not the "showman" that apparently we need to capture and engage the currently brainwashed idiot zombies that are out there.

I like Katie Porter the most, but I'm sure there are even better candidates out there that fill the bill of what I think we need in a replacement senator -- who else is out there?
