the point is to prevent needless, painful, lonely deaths of our fellow citizens.

I personally don't want to wear a mask everywhere for the remainder of this year. I want to see my Dad again. I want to go on vacation, eat in a restaurant, go back to the office, touch other humans, etc.

The only way that happens is TO LOWER THE INFECTION RATE. NOW.

Some of us understand you completely, and also want these same things.

The other side will tell you to just not worry about it, and get on with your life. Go see your dad. Go on vacation. Eat in a restaurant.

I'm realistic; I know how oppositional and conspiracy-prone most Americans are, but my nephew got the fucking thing OVER THE WEEKEND and has put my brother and SIL at extreme risk.
