If Dems pick up one more Senate seat (48/48 tie)

who chooses the Majority Leader? If Dems are at 47 and there are two Independents that lean Dem. and Harris is the Dem tie breaker does that give us a Dem majority? Harris will likely be replaced by a Dem CA.
Can the two Independ Senators switch to the Dem party to give Dems the Senate Majority?

The only way we get to 50 is to sweep 2 seats in GA runoffs in Jan.

I can't hope that any Democratic money is spent along the lines you think of, though.

Why didn't the party spend more in battlegrounds? I don't know that they didn't, but it seems that way. Was it covid? Republican aggression? A blindspot?

The four that are left are NC (Tillis is ahead but Cunningham hasn't conceded), Alaska (R is far ahead), and the two races in Georgia. One (Warnock) will definitely go to a runoff. The other (Ossoff) could go to a runoff if Perdue drops below 50% (NY Ties has him at 50.2)

(it is 48 for Dems since the race was just called for Peters in Michigan)

Pres. Biden's DOJ AG can investigate rich dirt being hidden by GOP senators, who have DEM governors who would flip the seats. I know that sounds mean, but it is legal. Think of McConnell's acts as models.

Sure hope we get an energetic and talented AG.
