News show pundits

Need to do something else other than blab when there's nothing going on. I honestly feel myself getting dumber the more I hear, "Gotta count every vote," "there's a lot to unpack," etc. Set up a D&D game at a table and play it. Give a tutorial on how to knit. Bring in someone to teach them how to juggle and see who can get the hang of it the fastest. It's just mindless blather while waiting for more numbers.

They are news pundits. There must not be any news they can cover. Or maybe they are just entertainers.

I suspect people watching would switch channels immediately if they covered say 5 minutes of news every half hour.

as a loose segue from US foreign affairs. There are other countries worth discussing.

There’s plenty of things happening in the world that they could cover. Even politics from another country makes more sense than going over the same stuff endlessly until another update comes in.

I probably should have included a sarcasm emoji.

I'd even watch Sean Hannity for a while if he also had to explain how to do a good double-lift with a deck of cards.

air disaster ever and you couldn't run I Love Lucy reruns or talk about French labor strikes when there wasn't any news about it. And you've got your entire news team out there shaking every corporate and government source for something. Anything.

So you couldn't really break away for a subway breakdown while something could come in any second. Besides, the public was in shock, so it would have to be a volcano or worse to get their attention

But, there was nothing coming in, so I remember Dan Rather trying desperately to say something worthwhile while cameras stared pathetically at one piece of debris floating on the ocean. For hours they shot that one bit of flotsam because that's all there was.

That's just the way it is.

on CNBC attrative is that there are no pundits, just news. Viewrs find out there are actually other things going on in the US and the world. It's refreshing tbh.

1. Chuck Todd, and a pack of others, need to go.

2. The media showcase, with or without elections, is blab. The more they sit in the studios, the worse it gets.

3. I want fresh air. Dr. Fauci is the most famous current example.

4. As long as the media is talking and the experts are not, we are in trouble. (there are exceptions)
