They've been losing market share to OAN and NEWSMAX as Trump publicly whines that they're not on "his" side. Having Biden as President gives them a new target to focus on as the "voice of conservatism"

I have no doubt MSNBC's ratings are dramatically higher over the last 4 years with Trump as president than if Hillary was. And I'm sure Hannity/Carlson's ratings will be significantly higher during 4 years of a Biden administration than if Trump was here another 4 years.
