Narcissists sociopaths and authoritarian personalities NEVER
Recover because they can't/choose not to. It's a character flaw they have,not a real mental illness as I see it..

These personality issues that cannot be cured . So they need to be seen as seperate from genuine mental illness and trauma disorders in people that seek recovery.

Also narcisstistic,authoritarian and sociopaths must be kept seperate from the mentally ill and trauma based illness.
As the people around the narcissist have bad outcomes in abusive situations narcissists would bring to group therapies etc.



These kinds of toxic people need to be classified seperately from the mentally ill and PTSD ect.because people with mental illness want to recover can recover and seek insight..toxic people don't want to improve or grow empathy within or have insight.

That's the difference from a character flaw
And a mental illness.

Wish the psych community could figure out a way to keep narcissists out of the places and therapies that help the mentally ill and traumatized.

we can apply more than one descriptor to him. He can be a narcissist and a sociopath, as well as mentally ill. I agree that Trump cannot get better and by all indications, he has gotten worse over the years. I'm not sure that he has always been mentally ill, but clearly he has always been a narcissist. Meanwhile, being thrust into a position far beyond his capabilities seems to have made him far worse.

And I wish society as a whole, could find a way to keep narcissists out of positions of power where they can do great harm.
