From about 9 am to mid afternoon. It died out pretty quick though.

where you punched out your choice, just like the thing in Florida. I was outraged. It was essentially impossible to double check and make sure you'd voted the way you wanted to.

We then moved to Colorado, so I have no idea if that kind of ballot stayed on for any length of time.

I now live in New Mexico where we use paper ballots. Before you leave the polling place it's run through a machine to make sure you didn't double vote or not vote a particular race or bond issue or whatever. Nice.

You mark 'em with a dark ink, and run them thru a scanner that optically counts your votes. Pretty efficient.
