(26,044 posts)...because there were probably only a small number of mail-ins in that county relative to the Trumpers who voted in person on Tuesday. As a reflection of the county, it likely means little...but, in a race which was already on a knife's edge when all the in-person votes were counted, it could be yuge.

(26,044 posts)...but it's somewhat predictable that those voting with Trump would show up in person (because "it's just like the flu" , while anti-Trump voters would use mail-in.

It's now part of exurban north Atlanta, one of many signs of the incredible changes Georgia has seen in recent decades.

(128,379 posts)It drives me nuts that the plant "forsythia" is being "forSITHia" insted of "forSIGHthia" (which is how I learned to pronounce that name).

(8,549 posts)As a name it's always pronounced that way here in the south as far as I know. But the shrub is pronounced forSITHia around here, although most people just call it goldenrod.

(128,379 posts)OMG that would be confusing for gardeners like me knowing what a goldenrod looks like.
The plant was named for botanist William Forsythe.
