She said Trump will never get over this loss. She said especially since Republicans picked up seats in the house and several were saved in the senate. She said that means they were rejecting him.

Mary was only 9 or 10 when her dad died. After that Mary, her brother and her mom were sort of estranged from the rest of the Trump family. They did her a big favor when they did that too.

Maybe I'm remembering that while Fred Jr. was still living, he didn't have much to do with the rest of his own family. Mary and her brother didn't know the Trumps that well, only having short visits on holidays, etc.

I remember reading that Fred Jr. quit working for his father because he really wanted to be an airline pilot. He was still in his 20s and just getting married then. Donald loved real estate and jumped at the chance to work in the family business. Fred Jr.'s family were never as well off as the other family members.
