(4,677 posts)Lots of young men from rural areas enlist, and the military skews Republican anyway.

(60,831 posts)There have been articles that spoke of how people with passports were far more likely to be Democrats. Not to mention, if they are in Europe, they have likely been exposed to a far more negative view of Trump.
I agree that the military might be less pro GOP than usual.

(42,031 posts)earlier on CNN or MSNBC said he thought there would be a lot of Biden votes this year among military.
crickets
(26,168 posts)I hope there are a lot of Biden votes from the military. He'll do much better by them than trump ever has or would.

(40,281 posts)The deadline is tomorrow.
"There were 8,899 absentee ballots from military and overseas voters that hadnt yet been returned to election offices in Georgia as of Thursday morning, according to the secretary of states office. Another 17,529 overseas ballots had already been returned and counted."

(47,365 posts)If they haven't been returned yet, what are the chances they would all show up tomorrow?
W_HAMILTON
(10,240 posts)It says that 8,899 were requested BUT NOT RETURNED.
Kaleva
(40,281 posts)But like LisaL said earlier, not all may be returned by the deadline.
Edit: so the actual number of military and overseas ballots that could be yet to be counted is a lot less then the 12k stated in the OP and may not factor into who wins the state.

(11,902 posts)how did those 17,529 break in a Biden/dump split?
Kaleva
(40,281 posts)And alot of those near 9k remaining ballots may not be back in time for the deadline tomorrow.
angrychair
(11,902 posts)military ballots longer. It oes appear though that they have until 5pm tomorrow to arrive or they cannot be counted

(34,748 posts)I understand that whole thing cost Trump a bunch of military support. I recall Malcolm Nance saying that a lot of officers were furious, and that many enlisted are still loyal to that scumbag. But, he also said that many of the enlistees don't vote. Let's hope Malcolm is right...

(5,372 posts)He said 8,800 total (military/overseas) have not been returned. If they are in the mail tomorrow they will be counted. He said it is not a guarantee because some of them could have decided not to vote.
