Black voters put Biden over the edge in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Most black voters support defunding the police.

----

The slogan is unpopular with most demographic groups, too, with two notable exceptions: Black Americans and Democrats. In the two polls where results were broken down by race, Black respondents said they supported defunding the police by an average of 45 percent to 28 percent, while white respondents opposed it by an average of 61 percent to 23 percent. This is in line with other polls that have consistently shown that white people mostly see police in a favorable light, while Black people are likelier to have experienced mistreatment at officers’ hands and take the problem of police violence seriously. So what we’re seeing here may be another reflection of Black and white Americans’ different experiences with police.

Or have a reasonable discourse of ways to address the issues that Morning Joe raises? They are right. We face some issues regarding branding of the party and the terms we select to frame the areas of debate. We also have to constructively find ways to deal with the Republican effort to rig the census, gerrymander and preserve power.

Reading DU a week ago, you would have thought that Biden would have won by a landslide and Trump would not have received a single electoral vote. That’s what happens when you censor all of the opinions and facts you don’t like as right-wing talking points. And that has worked out so well for us at DU. This is a very dumb and antidemocratic rule, which is pretty ironic.

So, essentially, we can't work for "nice things", like universal health care, mandatory paid six weeks vacation, long term paid maternity leave, etc. etc. Let's just be centrist, safe, and not move forward. It was a sad commentary.

All about the radical left and how Biden needs to govern from the center. Republicans are always pushing hard right with policies most Americans don't like but the media never tell them to move to the center.

Georgia is not close because of the center it is close because Atlanta and other diverse areas turned out.

DU loves Kelly but will be shocked to see him reach across the aisle. Kelly was a registered Independent on the day Gabby was shot. Sinema's voting record is more moderate than Manchin's

Joe didn't diss AOC but simply said she only represents her district.

The closing ads against Kelly were all based on claims of Kelly being a socialist which would have worked with a less liked candidate.

Blue state Democrats on DU are out of touch with how difficult it is to win in red/purple states.

We aren't going to expand the party if we let the extreme part of the party to brand the entire party.

We can’t be saddled with these extreme phrases. They are political losers.

The GOP expanded its state legislature map,
which means that they can redistrict.

Therefore, it's very likely that the GOP will
win the House in 2022.
