Why? Because the way anti-Blackness is set up, our liberation is central to *everyone’s* liberation.

Black people organize for our communities. Nearly everyone else ends up benefitting.

Why? Because the way anti-Blackness is set up, our liberation is central to *everyone’s* liberation.

Black organizers strategized in urban AND rural areas. The visions were statewide and national.

The work was disciplined and strategic. And often done with FAR LESS resources than establishment or white-run orgs.

This is not “complaining.” This is called OWNING THE NARRATIVE AND TELLING THE TRUTH.

And it will matter for funding the orgs who get it done, taking those two GA senate seats, getting progressive agendas passed, and building long term political power for marginalized people.

It is also a reminder that this summer’s racial justice work was essential to awakening everyday people. And YES, that resulted in critical turnout.

Don’t forget-for Black cities to be so central to this probable win means that turnout was so strong & organizing so disciplined that they *overcame* WIDEspread voter suppression.

Voter suppression ain’t dead. Black folks are just resilient (when we should have to be.)

Mainstream spaces aren’t forced to understand our culture and Black *infrastructure* like we are forced to understand dominant culture

But it’s high time y’all get familiar, not just because we’re human and deserving, but because we are far more organized than we get credit for.

Grassroots organizers. HBCUs. The D9. Black professional orgs. black churches. Legacy Black legal organizations.

From organizers who knocked on doors to Church mothers who took souls to the polls to Black fundraisers who directed funds, Black folks have real network power.

Media outlets-pay BLACK people to write, analyze and report on this. Just because y’all don’t understand how we operate doesn’t mean we don’t know what we’re doing.

DNC-stop underfunding Black media and Black organizers.

Everyone else? SUPPORT these organizations.

Black media has been DOING THE WORK of educating OUR communities, cutting through mountains of disinformation that targeted us, and galvanizing voters.

A lot of the work done was *never* done on Twitter, even tho folks act like this is the only space we can be seen.

Alright. Rant over.

See y’all on the other side ✌🏾

YOU are a part of US.

Skin color is no reason anyone should be judged as less than.

ASS hats who can't see the TRUTH have never really known black people personally.

We are all good and bad in varying degrees.

When they put people down for the color of their skin, it is still PEOPLE being put down and these are my brothers and sisters in humanity. NO ONE BEST MESS WITH MY FAMILY.

God bless the strength of the black community putting up with and overcoming what they have.

WE NEED TO KEEP STANDING RIGHT BESIDE YOU.

We ALL do better when WE ALL do better.
