My pick for our new postmaster general

Here is my pick for our new Postmaster General -- Rep Abigail Spanberger(D) Virginia - a former CIA officer and Postal Service investigator, presented herself as a moderate focused on issues affecting rural Americans. In campaign ads, she also highlighted her background in intelligence and national security. Just won again in Virginia's 7th. She is a hero in my book because she defeated David Brat( of Eric Cantor dethroning fame) in the 2018. And she just squeaked by to win again. She is a safe appointment because her Democratic Governor will be able to appoint her replacement (picks anyone?)

thank you for the response -----I am enamored with her because of her credentials ---her stint with CIA and as a postal inspector would give her some special talent in cleaning house--thank you again

Not saying postal inspection experience isn’t valuable, or that an outside perspective is necessarily bad. But career employees generally are very patriotic and committed to the ol’ usps. They won’t be trying to privatize it, that’s for sure.

If there's another contest, Freitas might end up representating that district.

but it would be great to have someone like her controlling the mail-----it might even be the greater good to lose the district battle but to win the war ---because it looks like it is very difficult to rig a mailed election----thank you again for posting------who do you think would work for her replacement in Virginia 7?
