It seems to me that mail in ballots are a lot more secure than machine voting. We

should go that way all over. Keeps hackers at bay and has many eyes on the counting so there should not be any hanky panky.

I vote for mail-in ballots But they should be counted daily as they come in.
That may be why the Trumpers started out trying to do away with mail-ins. Putin told him there was nothing he could do about that.

Have 100% VBM and it's great. They can begin to process the ballots one week before election day and we always have a tally by the end of election night. It's so easy! Plus, as you mentioned and our Governor Brown said a while back - "Paper ballots can't be hacked."

This is why the Republicans across the country don't like them.

Plus, if you need to do a recount, you can actually do a recount.

They have to be careful, because in doing so through litigation they can be proven wrong and they are going to need that card for future elections because they do not want people to vote with paper.....

It's secure and there is actually very little chance of fraud.

Very interesting part of a long article in Politico about how mail-in ballots and coded labels are printed.

This is why Trump attacked mail-ins from the start. Consider this. 538 was phenomenally accurate in 2012. Ther analytics only improved since then with the 2016 embarassment followed even more so in 2020.

No lines and you get an email or text confirming your vote. Perfect.

13. Don't they just stick them in a regular counting machine when they arrive?

My mail-in ballot looked just like a regular election day ballot that they scan into a tabulating machine.

14. I think that is why the Democratic Party pushed mail in ballots so much.

They need to be counted by hand and the rethugs “fix” of the voting machines totals was a dead deal.
