...I KNOW that tRump* and his army of sycophants will seize EVERY OPPORTUNITY to attempt to invalidate the results of this election. By allowing the vote count to proceed to seemingly absurd lengths, the results of the election inoculate themselves against invalidation. This has become the most watched, examined and scrutinized election in history. Not just U.S. history. History. And unfortunately, there is an entire army of tRumpers* believing that "their election" is being stolen from them. So, as agonizing as it is, COUNT. EVERY. VOTE. Double-count every vote. Give us results that will be able to stand in every court of the land. This was not just a presidential election. This was an existential election for the soul of America.

The counting efforts must proceed. The results must be protected and fairly disseminated. The results of this election must stand the test of time.

...every bit of scrutiny validates the results. Count every vote. Leave no doubt. Ensure the results -and processes- are transparent to all.

There must be NO DOUBT as to the direction of this country MOST. OF. US. have chosen.

From the very beginning of the absentee process I have been impressed with the state and county vote validation and tracking system. It's nice to know there is some integrity left.

Until Congress approves the electoral votes in January.

Normally media says the race is over based on facts and the loser concedes. Two things are happening here: 1) MSM is full of republican taint lickers so they want to keep their repuke overlords happy. 2) No one really believes the lazy lying steaming pile Hump will concede.

14. Actually the states,
Sat Nov 7, 2020, 08:35 AM

have different dates where they validate the results of the election. Once the states validate their elections it's ball game.

Having news agencies call the election for a state does absolutely nothing legally to impair the count. Pa. should have been called by now. If Biden were a Republican all of the major news agencies would have made the call by now. Biden is going to win Pa. by 75k votes.

The votes have been cast. The votes must be fairly and fully counted. The more accurate the process, the more transparent the processes, the less chance there will be of any successful tRumpian* legal action.

“Faced with a future of relative calm and quiet from the next administration the major television networks have unanimously decided to reap advertising dollars from some of the last bombastic reports that have captivated the world so long.” *

10. I'll wait for Reuters to call it
Sat Nov 7, 2020, 07:47 AM
Nov 2020

Reuters is overly cautious and makes sure the loser has absolutely no possible chance of overcoming a lead.
AP uses a slightly lower standard.

But, the only call is on Dec 14, 2020 when the states, are required by law, report to Congress the one and only official election results- which includes all Electoral Votes and the actual popular votes.

I know you are bored waiting, but think of all the funny things that will come from this protracted election count.

One of the ebst I've seen is;
"The only way Trump gets to 270... is to loose 50 pounds".

Because otherwise, there will be claims that they didn't count every vote. Right now, in this election, it couldn't be more important to actually show everybody that they are.

I am thankful for all those workers who are dedicated to the process. We owe them our heartfelt thanks regardless if they are Democrats, Republicans or Independents or other. Only the ignoramuses who are enemies of the nation are the ones outside counting centers attempting to disrupt the process. I despise them just as our forefathers who were willing to take up arms to protect their god given rights for representation.

This proves we don't need instantaneous results.
We can get rid of the machines, take time to count, wait for the states, wait for the EC.
It's 10 weeks to inauguration anyway.
We've gotten to used to knowing on Tuesday night.
Speed is unnecessary. Accuracy is not.
While I agree that part of it is the desperate need of the media to extend the horse race, it's also distracting the maladministration. Let them stew.

It was clear they were extending the race for ratings, but I don't care what they think.
I'd rather they report the news when it happens!
