Opinions- not calling it to coddle trump

I'm sitting here stressed, exhausted and believing had Trump been ahead it would have been called for trump.
Am I being paranoid? What, if they are appeasing Trump, would be the reason? A tyrant is still being appeased to what end?

Pardon disjointed post- haven't been sleeping well.

then they better call it. That was Trump's strongest path to victory last time. Right now we have the probabilities of two states for the other paths so it is not entirely a slam dunk.

It really doesn't matter what would have happened. What matters is what HAS happened.

They're going to call it when they're done counting. It's close to being done.

As for them possibly appeasing OrangeAss, I'm sure that in some cases that's true. I do think that's irresponsible and dangerous.

But we're going to be okay. Hang on to that thought, and try to get some rest.

Editing to add: I should have said, they're going to call it when they've reached the point in counting where it's absolutely clear, as in there aren't enough votes left to count that can change the outcome.

a civil war.

I think those states that who were faced with an exorbitant amount of mail in votes are overwhelmed. They are painstakingly checking each ballot. Hats off to those election workers.

And are waiting for someone else to make the call.

Rupert Murdoch is supposedly cutting Trump loose, so ha-ha, maybe Fox will make the call.

There was backlash from even dems. It is best to wait until we are sure. What we should do is cheer every time the count goes up for Biden. Bet that would burn his but.

so they are taking the cowards way out running it down to the last vote and praying one of the other network will go first.

is not to appease trump. When the count is finished, the result will be Biden, we all know that based on probabilities. But if one state has to change their projection from Biden to trump, that gives trump ammo to fight the others. It will also feed into their conspiracy theories. When it is called it will be a decisive victory for Biden that trump can't legitimately use to throw red meat to his followers.

Not to say he won't throw them red meat, just that it will have no basis in fact.

It is not unusual for the paper ballot counting to take some time. The differences in this election is there are far more to count because of covid and it is a hotly contested race. Usually election day totals are enough to call a projected winner because absentee ballot can not change the results, just the margin. Those votes have always been counted regardless. This year there were so many of them, they could change the results and are.

We can thank the Democratic leadership for pushing that.
Stacy Abrams deserves a DU rose collection.
