My husband has hip surgery a couple months ago. I asked about COVID patients and was told they have a separate dedicated wing.

cancer patients, so try to keep that in mind. I have gone from ER to ICU to surgical and cancer floors and though everyone is doing the right things in the hospitals I've worked in/observed (granted only in CO, but my colleagues tell me similar across the country), the latter has the extra peer-surveillance activated that will come down on you like a nuclear bomb if you break infection control technique.

Try to be reassured. Best wishes.
