(108 posts)Does anyone who know Georgia politics well enough to comment on how those votes might skew in the Senate runoff elections scheduled in January 2021? We'll need high turnout and then some to win both those seats. Curious to know if all of the candidates whose votes are included in the "Other" category skew conservative or progressive.

(44,972 posts)These people were free to vote for a Senate Candidate even if they selected Libertarian for President.
But to answer your questions, most of "other" votes went to a Libertarian, so my guess they are Republican leaning.

(108 posts)for candidates other than the four included in the runoff would be likely to vote for the Republican or Democratic candidate in the runoff, or maybe not vote at all? After checking the current results from the two races, it appears that there were @ 114K votes for a Libertarian candidate in the Ossoff/Perdue race and just over 2 million votes for candidates other than Warnock or Loeffler in that race. Just curious if anyone who is familiar with Georgia politics could weigh in how those votes might break in the runoff election.

(44,972 posts)libertarian is not on the ticket. It's not going to be easy to win these run offs by any means.

(15,534 posts)I think I'd spend my dollars in Georgia just for this. Been there many times in years past when I lived in the South, but I would have no problem going back.
I'm a bit disappointed in NC where I used to live. I know their final numbers aren't in yet, bit come on NC! Get into the 21st century with us already.
