First day in office

Two things I can think of Biden can do on his first day.

1: Rejoin Paris Climate Accords

2: Rejoin World Health Organization.

But would otherwise continue on, unless they were explicitly fired. Like Obama’s first defense secretary, Robert Gates, continued from the Bush administration.

asks them to. It’s not like Gates refused to leave and Obama couldn’t or wouldn’t fire him.

But there is no “automatic firing” they voluntarily tender their resignations.
