Two quick, joyful stories from today
First, went to a grocery in my (very red) suburb of Columbus to buy some steaks for tonight and saw a little old lady wearing a "Biden/Harris" shirt and mask. Gave her a thumbs-up and she came over and was singing hallelujahs as we celebrated together. No idea who she was, just a fellow dem!
Second, got a call from a dear friend, a young military officer. She never voted D for president before, but did this time. She was in tears, so happy that Biden was elected and the Beast was rejected! She was working today and didn't hear the news until she got my text and then researched it after work before calling to celebrate! She wanted to make sure this isn't going to be taken away. I had tears in my eyes just listening to her.
Watching the parties on tv now, planning steak and champagne tonight and a good night's sleep!
