I get the celebrations but..

It's really hard to defend mainstream media when they spent months attacking the other side for holding packed rallies during this pandemic. I'm seeing cameras on packed crowds and nobody's saying anything. It really does nothing but reenforce what Trump was telling his base the last couple months. The virus will disappear right after the election.
There is still a very serious health threat out there. Dems voted by mail to be safe yet with a victory they're crowding together like trump rallies. Not trying to put a damper on the celebration but it's very easy for the other side to claim hypocrisy.

And, really? You care if the other side claims hypocrisy?

That's kind of sad.

They are willing to take the risk. At least the majority are outside wearing masks.

Just as they did during all the George Floyd protests, All the BLM gatherings...

OUR
SIDE
FUCKING
WEARS
MASKS

It's that simple. The coronavirus pandemic is still a major issue that President Biden will have to tackle this year. We just had the most momentous election of this generation, it is understandable that the news of the pandemic was second-paged for a few days. It doesn't make it any less serious.

Seriously...

A planned rally by an authority is not the same a spontaneous celebrations led by the people. There is no government figure planning these events.

The juxtaposition of the two crowds. 1 crowd wearing masks and the other not. That picture is one we actually need to see.

The Biden celebration crowds are modeling how we go forward to keep the country running, mask wearing is a major element of that, in fact, it is the most important element, IMO.

Trump rally crowds modeled how to aid the virus in running rampant, which it has, in Trump loving parts of the country.

...if you didn't want to 'put a damper on the celebration' you wouldn't have posted this.

This joyful internet crowd isn't the place for this twaddle.

Go out in the street and try telling someone this.

The BLM protestors didn’t catch and spread COVID thanks to good community mutual care with wearing masks and being careful. Our dancers won’t get it either if they’re wearing masks and caring for each other. This is an international day of celebration. Nothing can stop this, and it shouldn’t.
