Him---- I guess you're glad that Biden won.

Me---- Was the election today? I forgot all about it..

Him---- Fuck you Ron!

Me--- LOL..chill dude. I am pretty stoked. I just wish Trump would concede.

Him---- Why? Does it matter?

Me--- Of course. If he doesn't concede Biden can't be president.

He brightened up then gave me a comically suspicious look. I grinned.

Him---- Fuck you Ron!

8. I don't think many Republicans had any trust in

those media accounts. They couldn't conceive of anyone seriously thinking of our military as suckers and losers, so it couldn't possibly be true.

They've been brainwashed. Their brains were hacked, meaning they are not fully culpable.

The evil can be correctly attributed to those who set that system up, the ultraconservative billionaires behind the conservative think tanks and FOX News, Newt Gingrich and Roger Ailes, and many others.

These poor schmucks? Yes they were hateful and racist. But those demons were fed by their media, their anger stirred up by the framing of 'heroes' vs. 'villains.' They got poisoned, slowly, without realizing what was happening. To make it worse, their media fomented deep distrust in any other media sources, making it much harder to ever break free of the miasma.

We have our own anger issues and sometimes even demonization. We too have had a framing of heroes and villains. It's true, we've got lots of heroes. But they aren't perfect. We've got lots of villains. But the schmucks are not the villains really. They're victims. The source of the evil lies elsewhere.

7. I can relate. One of my best friends is a republican.

But I have hope. I never preach at him. And he has now admitted we need a government controlled healthcare system but somehow believes republicans will give us a good one. This is only because he makes tons of money, is self employed and pays 30K a year for his families healthcare.

The biggest problem is his wife sits at home and watches Fox News all day. I suspect she will soon switch to OON or whatever the fuck it is called.

But he is a good guy. Helps his community. His kids are solid and with my help leaning Democratic.
