Mussolini was summarily executed, dumped outside a train station, pissed on, and then hung upside down on display from a meat hook, and so I think everyone arguing that the left needs to reach out to the right needs to appreciate just how conciliatory were already being.

Mmmmmmm - so what to do with Trump and his crime gang?
The Al Capone treatment? Lock him up for a little crime, like tax evasion, when we know he has committed bigger crimes?
Won't be as satisfying, but it will have to do.

(756 posts)anyone who believes more strongly than I that Trump is unfit for the White House -- or even a local city council -- but this is inappropriate. Let the Trump cultists disgrace themselves with talk of violence. Not us.
Any "two wrongs make a right" rationalizations are without merit.

(10,828 posts)Even with the legal and financial liabilities he's facing, most despots wind up like Mussolini. Another fours years would likely have sealed Trump's fate, not to mention his disgusting grifter family.
Regardless of what happens from here on out, they'll get off easy. Because the rule of law, the very thing for which they've shown so little respect.
