My neighborhood has been liberated !!!!!!!!

I'm in one of the redder counties in Alabama and of course a majority of houses had tRump flags flying. Anyway, I drove around yesterday and EVERY SINGLE ONE of those damned flags are gone. They all disappeared yesterday afternoon. I get the impression that most of the folks here are over it and ready to move on.

I had a Kerry sticker on my car in 2004. Someone threw bottles at my car and tried to run me off the road in a semi-rural area. Now, I stick to dog decals.

Duval county, Florida went BLUE this time. There were just too many voters for the sheriffs office to checkpoint/blockade. (they did that in 2000 to the tune of 30,000 votes, per the community) The neighborhood is returning to normal though I never saw but the occasional "pick-up-Trump" on the main streets anyway.

Worth noting that it only took 60 years for the town to go from "Axe Handle Saturday" to it's first Blue Tuesday this century. That's a zillion years in snail's age.

they won't turn out for the runoffs down there. Not in the numbers we saw on Tuesday. Not without Trump as the headliner. Dems need to stay in the game and turn out en masse to flip those senate seats. It can be done.

38. Actually, the signs and metal stands have to go to a special recycling center
Sun Nov 8, 2020, 11:08 AM
Nov 2020

because the corrugated plastic gets mixed with corrugated cardboard and ruins the batch, and the metal stands are dangerous to workers and the recycling sorting machines. Like wire hangers, they can’t go in the mixed stream recycling.

Our local news had a story about this yesterday. We have a special recycling center (Center for Hard to Recycle Materials), where we can take them to be reused or recycled.
