I feel greatly relieved. We have a long and difficult road ahead of us

But I feel really hopeful for the first time in 4 years. I think the country was really at an inflection point and if we didn’t get things turned around now it would probably be too late. I don’t think I’m being hyperbolic, it’s a close call. And it’s just a beginning, hopefully changes are coming. I’ve felt for awhile a fear for the future, not so much for myself. I’m getting older and settled and no big goals at the moment. But I have worried for my kid and a lot of the young crowd today, that they might not grow up in the America I grew up in. No illusion about the US, it’s certainly imperfect, but it’s still the land of opportunity for many. I’m so glad to see a lot of the young becoming more politically and socially involved. Gives me hope for the future.

1. I completely agree. I think, also, that we are very very lucky to have chosen Joe. There will

be no transitional hand-off, so thank God we have a guy who knows how to do this because he's done it before.

As for the kids, no generation grows up in the America of their parents. We had a close call and hopefully we can figure out how to keep it from happening again. I actually have more hope for their America than I do for ours.
