I don't have sympathy for Trump

my far-left Sanders'- supporting relative posted on FB he has sympathy for Trump because he's a human being. I ...just.... can't at this point. Maybe I'm a bad person, but Trumps full catalog of evil acts stops me cold.

He's done too much bad. Maybe I'll feel differently, but I doubt it. I guess I'm part of the problem in bringing the country together. I didn't respond to his post because I don't want to roil the waters. Damn

1. I know what you mean. I have sympathy, too, but I squelch it

Every single time the forces of good in this country win (the Civil War, eg) we give the other side too much room to breathe and they just pop right up again.

Trump owes Americans and the world quite a few apologies.

When I hear those, I can consider forgiveness.

(I'm not holding my breath.)

5. He's a pathetic excuse for a human being. That is quite sad. But...

when I think of babies being torn from their mother's breast, 500+ children whose parents they never documented and could be dead in the country they ran from, numerous young children bring exiled to Mexico without a family member and never having been there before, people who have lost their jobs since covid hit and unemployment has been nonexistent for many, foodbank lines stretching out for miles because people can't afford food, people being evicted from their homes because they haven't been able to pay their rent given a very small onetime payout, but are expected to make it last for months with prices doubling on many things, people who have and have had covid and don't have medical insurance and on and on. Then I think of the executive, legislative and judiciary branches of our government having the best health care, retirement plans and work and vacation schedules, that we pay for, using our tax dollars for golf games, trips, $1,000 lunch meetings, hotel stays for them and their families, etc. All the while paying little in taxes themselves. And Dump has been the worst. Sorry. I don't feel one bit sorry for the lot of them. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks for letting me vent

6. Does trump have sympathy for the 240,000 dead? Has he once expressed any human emotion

For the family. Does he try everyday to do something, anything to stop the virus? Fuck trump. That rotting pile of flesh has not even begun to experience everything he deserves and you can put every last GOP piece of shit in that category with him. I hope karma comes for them all. I hope it comes quickly.

7. Sympathy for what?
Sun Nov 8, 2020, 12:04 PM

He managed to get everything he wanted and ignore what was most important to us.

Why would we have to have sympathy for a sociopath hell-bent on his own self interests when the office he held was about the people?

Maybe some compassion for his overall misspent life and its toxic results would be possible, but not for a much deserved loss for which we all breath a collective sigh of relief and for which the entire world is celebrating.

He earned this and worked for it with devious schemes. That's his winning gone bad.

8. I have sympathy for the child kernel of his psyche

It is trapped in calcified resentment and anger. He was broken long ago. For that I have sympathy. I loathe what he has become and continues to be.

He is used by McConnell and by those MAGAts that would have trump as their proxy in inflicting damage upon those they resent and hate.

I would let him live his remaining days a pauper in a shanty on a remote penal island, with a garden and a fishing pole.

He will never be prosecuted to the extent of his crimes. Tax evasion, that's about it.
