Wasn't there a "libertarian party" candidate running in that race that siphoned off votes DonaldsRump Nov 2020 #4

Libertarian candidate got about 60K votes for Prez, but over114K for Senate was probably main reason Hoyt Nov 2020 #5

Many of these 3rd parties are sponsored, directly or indirectly, by the Rs to take away votes from our folks. The Libertarian picked up about the number of votes separating Ossoff from Perdue, so it kinda' worked, but did not avoid the run-off.

That seems counterintuitive to me.

For the runoff, the Republicans will have to directly flip votes to win. It's happened to Ossoff before.

One, why did the voters vote for the Libertarian in Ossoff's race. It could be they are libertarians but scared of Trump. They could like the person running for senate and not the one running for President. They could hate Ossoff. I man any of those are possible. I think most likely they were libertarians who were fed up with Trump and thus voted for Biden but then revererted to form for Senate.

plenty vote for Dems too...just depends on whether they value economic libertarianism or social libertarianism more.

Regardless...I think Ossoff better figure out how to engage the AA community on his side quickly. He's close, it won't take much to push him over.

I suppose the liberal hackers that GOPers claim threw the election to Biden, weren't smart enough to pick up an extra Senate seat while they were at it.

this morning accused by Newt Gingrich. If we were going to cheat, why not get the Senate seats at the same time?
