I think I need help.

This is a battle I think I am losing. I'm not the happy, good-natured person I was just a few short years ago. While victory was oh so sweet, my anger seethes with the intensity of a thousand blue stars. The more I think about where we have been--and still are--I find myself at RAGE level. I am inconsolable, isolating.

Reason is under assault and the election did nothing to halt it. So very many of the people in my small, rural town of 1800 in Iowa STILL enthusiastically support the LOATHESOME Republican ticket--and especially the creature at the top. The shitty TRUMP 2020 flags still fly...yard signs haven't been pulled, and Trumpworld here is plugging along as though nothing happened. Meanwhile, I am struggling to overcome raw anger and get to a place of righteous indignation, at least.

I just got returned from driving around my little deep RED town and nearly burned my horn out as I slowed to pass Trump shrines throughout. What good does that do? Toward the end I passed by the trailers in the flood zone down by the creek where, obviously, many desperate and weak-minded suckers have drunk the koolaid of a CON. One poor bastard--white guy, obese, early 60s, typical, was sitting outside his trailer on his concrete slab--Trump flag teasing passersby in the breeze, deep-blue TRUMP sign in yard, you know...and he waved. Instead of being the friendly person I used to be, I braked, stopping in the street, and rolled down my window.

"Nothing says STUPID like all of THIS shit," I stated, waving my hand at the flag and sign. He grunted. "Get with the program!" I offered, and then I drove on.

This won't help me--or us--get past this. I need to be constructive, but first I need to overcome the grudge I hold against the people who cared so little about this country or their civic duty that that lined up to vote for the most monstrous person and disastrous administration in the history of our country. And that aint easy.

1. You'll get over it. Don't fight it, let go of it, each time, as many times as necessary until habit.

And you are smart to ask for help. Do that too, any time you feel the need. That too will fade as you get stronger and Democrats build back America led by Biden.

Unfortunately, there’s still a ton of Trump signs around here. And I’m in a blue county!

which every county voted for Bernie in the primary, to vote for trump in 2016. I can forgive that vote since trump ran as a populist promising to bring jobs back to WV and help the people; however, their vote this time after four years of the evil, hateful, criminal kidnapping of babies from their mothers arms and putting them in cages, creating 545 orphans, that they don't even know who their parents are, kissing up to Putin and Kim jun il, to etc., etc., etc.!

I have no words except rage!!!

We just got started. Heck, some of us aren't even fully warmed-up! And remember that even the greatest of elite boxing champions always take a minute between rounds when they do battle.

None of us are the same person that we were four years ago. None. In part, it's because we have been subjected to an insane four years in American history. We can really only identify a few periods in our nation's history that have been equally or more dangerous. And, of course, we're not done.

To go on to the next level of national recovery, we have to work like a team. We have to let our tired teammates rest. We can't afford petty divisions. And that starts in the participation of emotional debates about specific policies and politicians. We do not have that luxury right now.

So maybe we are exactly where we need to be, now.

I've been thinking about how to answer this. There are numerous levels to consider ......and I am (slowly) trying to come up with a plan for the period between now and President Biden and VP Harris taking office. And I'm definitely open to other people's ideas on this. I've been communicating with friends and associates on the local-to-national level, and will try to come up with a worthwhile essay to post here soon.

thanks!

Yes, I've been reading a ton of prescriptions, too - from the very personal, to the political writ large, to the financial (donations).

I watched Mandela the other night, the doc that tracks his rise and Presidency. I am seeking information on Truth and Reconciliation.

Good to put our heads together.

Hard to focus today!

My cousin has called twice today, saying he realizes that after January, we might not be talking eight times per day!

I like the Mandela model. Plus, you reminded me of a phone call I got years ago -- Rubin was meeting with Nelson, about how they might resolve some of the conflicts that Bush-Cheney were creating in the Middle East.

8. It is logical to loathe republicans
Sun Nov 8, 2020, 08:39 PM

There were 16 other candidates up for president. Repukes took a look at everyone and decided the stupidest, most criminal and racist was their guy. When he tried to lock up his political opponents repukes were fine with that. When he banned Muslims because of their faith repukes were fine with that. When he used the department of justice as his personal legal hit squad repukes were fine with that. When he stole and then locked children in cages to live in their crap starving and thirsty repukes were fine with that. When he called African countries shitholes repukes were fine with that. Every time he lied and stole from the United States government repukes were fine with that. He cheated on his wives, his taxes and in every business dealing he ever engaged in and repukes were fine with that. Fuck those pieces of shit. I don't forgive them b/c "they are stupid". I don't forgive them b/c "their parents brainwashed them". I don't forgive them b/c "they don't know better". If you don't know Nazis suck or corporations are not interested in your best interest or that racism is wrong: FUCK YOU

But they are a reality we have to deal with.

I'm seeking the most effective way to disempower them.

Whatever it may be.

They are now as meaningless as people who held on to their Confederate dollars because "The South shall rise again!" Vainly clutching to a Lost Cause. Blowing your horn a them make them happy because they "love to make the libs cry." Ignore them and they will sink into a swampy void if depression.

15. I hit the wall u are at a couple years ago - solfeggio frequencies saved my sanity

I was soooo angry - The term 'president tRump' was just NOT compatible with my worldview or ANY knowable reality. It was causing physical symptoms. Fortunately I found solfeggio frequencies. Millions of vids on YouTube. These frequencies literally vibrate with our bodies, Heart Hospitals in the US use them.

There are soooooooo many choices - spend a day or so time listening to some.

They are great background as u go thru your day.

Here r a couple I like.

BtW the vids r not needed, just the tones - try overnight.
