Democrats should be dominating blue collar / rustbelt votes

We are losing the messaging war. What kind of legislation wins can Biden get to help these folks out and also help with the messaging? They are not fans of NAFTA which is part of what they liked about Trump's message even though he didn't deliver shit. Also, all we need to do is peel off at least 2% of the rural vote. Another thing we should be doing is shoring up our outreach to Hispanics and courting the Cuban vote in Florida. They need to be reminded that it was Jimmy Carter who paved the way for 125,000 Cubans to come to the US back in the 70's.

to win them back. Many appear to be motivated by racism instead of economic well-being. Obviously Dems can’t make racism a part of our platform. So I’m not sure how to get them to see the light.

with Reagan then Bill Clinton pushed through the Republican's NAFTA. So now they are hell bent on destroying the teachers unions.
The Republican's back the FOP since they are right wingers.

which is pretty much the only thing these people respond to, so why don’t we focus on motivating our own base to turn out more and on mobilizing younger voters. The tumblr/Instagram generation seems to be more inherently political and activist than those who came before, so let’s work on harnessing that before we worry about fighting a losing battle trying to turn Trumpanzees back into people.

We all have lots of ideas, but has the dnc ever changed to strategic thinking about this? a real, continuing working group full of smart people that can figure this out? Or are we going to wait until the next election to do it like we've almost always done it, PIECEMEAL ! No wonder the repubs clean our clocks with their losing platforms... they have solid and consistent planning and messaging !!

The Mariel boatlift during the Carter administration was an absolute disaster. Castro released all of his common criminal prisoners to the U.S. He also put people from mental asylums on the boats. 7,000 of them were arrested for felonies in the U.S. Riots at one of the holding facilities in Arkansas caused Bill Clinton to be defeated for reelection as governor.

and talked about how it was Carter who did all these things to help Cuban immigrants. Maybe that person was mistaken?

I could not find too much on it but it sounds like he tried: https://www.history.com/topics/us-presidents/carter-pledges-to-admit-cuban-refugees-video

10. We do stupid stuff like boycott Goya Foods and Trump made a commercial out of it

He said that Joe Biden was "Coming for your tacos"

I don't get all the freakin outrage over Goya Foods. The owner is Spanish (European Spanish)....There tons of Latino owned businesses and many of their owners are Republican. Even Mi Tierra is owned by Republicans, yet it is the Democrats go-to establishment here in town. Then when a BBQ chain turned out to contribute to Trump, once again the Castro brothers made a big deal about it. (The owner of the chain is white), but they never say anything about Mi Tierra. Everyone eats at Bill Miller BBQ. It's everywhere.

I think the Dems need to step up local and regional organizing.
There truly are differences from State to State, and region to region.

It’s amazing that we won at all. No wonder dotard and the pukes are whining. They thought the fix was in. 27% of the vote from SO FL alone just gone. FL and other states are rife with cheating and voter suppression.

Look what Stacie Abrams did in GA just by registering young AA voters. That’s where the work is.

The youth vote is beginning to come thru and it isn’t for the gop. Register them, bring them into the fold, help them make their lives work. We have a platform that they care about, climate, student debt, police reform, health insurance, racial equality. Follow Stacie Abrams plan in all 50 states and we’ll end up with a whole lot of Georgias!
