time we're seeing sun in Kingston for well over two weeks.
The devastation here from flood rains is unbelievable. Zeta and Eta never hit us directly but the outer bands sure stuck around forever.

Around 2.54 on watch the idiots. They exist everywhere - who the fuck stands on the road watching landslides that can kill them

(268,930 posts)The entire island is a mess but the worst is in the South, East and North East.
Given that Covid killed tourism we are royally fucked. This is the worst flooding I have ever seen here.

Sure we'll feel the cost of food until next year and we'll deal with the potholes and other inconveniences, but we're the lucky ones.
When I was a student decades ago, I lived off that Gordon Town Main road.

(12,377 posts)Our damage looks minimal... tree branches all over this morning but nothing major, although we pretty much stayed in the cone the whole time as it passed. But key largo took the brunt I think. They lost power early.
We sure didnt need the rain but we are coral islands so it runs through pretty quickly. Praying everyone now in the path will be safe.

Saturday and yesterday evening.
Lots of folks have no power - light poles are down.
