practices in place until I'm certain to be safe.

(14,642 posts)who sounds and acts like a president. The last 4 years have felt like an eternity.
That being said, that it's Pfizer is not very comforting to me after its Rimadyl disaster. I'm going to keep wearing a mask, stay home, and wait before getting too excited about a vaccine just yet.

(7,403 posts)Well into the vaccination cycle by both those not vaccinated and those vaccinated.
Why those vaccinated? Because 10% of those vaccinated and exposed to the virus will get the virus, according to Pizer's own claims. 90% is considered to be highly effective. The vaccine starves the beast because infection targets are sharply reduced, making it a downward spiral rather than an upward spiral. An infected individual will no longer infect 1.8 people as that number will drop to more like 1.2, then .8 followed by .3 and eventually it will disappear. Wearing a mask during this period will simply speed up the decline and the sooner that happens the sooner we will have our lives back. The problems will be the pockets where people refuse to follow the recommendations and the numbers will come down more stubbornly.
