The Bogus Fraud Claims Are All About Giving Trump An Off-Ramp, Officials Say

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/the-bogus-fraud-claims-are-all-about-giving-trump-an-off-ramp-officials-say
Trump and his campaign have leveled accusations of large-scale voter fraud in Pennsylvania and other states that broke for Biden, so far without proof.

But senior officials, campaign aides and allies told The Associated Press that overwhelming evidence of fraud isn’t really the point.

The strategy to wage a legal fight against the votes tallied for Biden in Pennsylvania and other places is more to provide Trump with an off-ramp for a loss he can’t quite grasp and less about changing the election’s outcome, the officials said. They spoke to AP on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal strategy.

Trump aides and allies also acknowledged privately the legal fights would — at best — forestall the inevitable, and some had deep reservations about the president’s attempts to undermine faith in the vote. But they said Trump and a core group of loyalists were aiming to keep his base of supporters on his side even in defeat.

don't care what the claims are meant to do. Come Jan 2021, HE'S GONE!

By telling half the electorate their votes were stolen, convincing them Bidens win is illegitimate, throwing the country into crisis, all the placate the fragile ego of a narcissistic man-child because his “advisors” are too chicken shit to just tell the truth? Sounds like a reasonable plan. /s

They think this strategy is ok? They don't care what damage is being done to the country, to the government, to us citizens? Do they have no moral compass? I just don't get these people. How do they look at themselves in the mirror and not see who and what they really are? How did their parents screw up so badly when raising them?

All I can do is shake my head because if I really start to think about these ass-holes and what they've done and continue to do I'm afraid I'd simply start screaming and not be able to stop. Sigh....

He sees them all as $$$ and wants to keep them fired up. You think it is bad now, after Jan 21 when he is still doing rallies and selling Trump shirts and officially kicks off his 2024 campaign, it is going to look even more and more just like the scam that it all is.

To generate money for himself, to accuse others of what he has done, to project himself as the victim, and use to incite, and use to divide with, and to control the news cycle with it. He also can use our money to travel to his rally's with instead of his. He's likely jealous of the attention media is giving Biden now.

There are no rallies. Rallies are for an on-going campaign. The election is over.

THE TURD LOST!!! Yet we continue to pay for Air Force 1 to ferry him to his egotistical lovefests?

Who controls the purse strings for these types of expenses? Cancel the damn credit card.

He is just continuing to follow Putin's orders. CHAOS AND DIVISION.

Trump's allies probably think it will give Trump more political power from the sidelines, by putting him in a position to influence GOP politicians, and block Joe. Trump will call himself the real President, and so will his base.
That's why we need to win those runoffs and control the Senate.
