The ... "casual" racism is what gets me. As I said.... I'm old and white. When I go to the McDonalds to get a breakfast and sit there to eat it, (yeah I know *blush*) the OTHER old white guys see me and just ASSUME I think like they do. Only takes em once though lol. Well, with the pandemic I don't do that anymore but.... just an illustrative point. I DO live in a ruby red state though but I know its a nationwide problem/disgrace.

it's infuriating. and the denial. my sister, my friend, say they aren't racists, but they are. i argue with my friend and i have called out my sister when several other people were with us. but she has Alzheimer's now so when she protests that she's "not racist, I'm really not" i just don't say anything.

Republicans have sold people on the notion (unsupported by facts) that the stock market does better under Republicans, as does the economy as a whole. Many of those well-off suburban white people care more for their 401k funds than they do the future of the country. They can afford to do pretty much what they want, and they haven’t been hurt by the virus, so they don’t care what happens to anyone else—white, black, or brown.

But I do like the way he gives a lot of credit to the minority voters for this.

Far more people not-of-color voted against Trump. Millions more. If they hadn't, Trump would have won. Yet, I keep reading that a relatively small group of people are responsible for Biden's win.

Kushner is handing out eviction notices. These weasels all need to go away.

There's a reason it figured so prominently in the work of classical playwrights.
