... transition is always a dangerous time for our nation; even when done 'correctly'...
... having these 3 key agencies (I'm including Esper's) with potential Trump 'moles' would make us fragile ...
... a report on NPR said that 911 was a product of the transition between Clinton and Bush; and that was handled well ...

Christopher Miller will become the acting Secretary of Defense even though by statute the job was supposed to go to Deputy Defense Secretary David Norquist.

What would happen if they said, this is an illegitimate order from an insane traitor? Who would physically prevent the heads from continuing in their job? I know it could be viewed as a mutinous act, and if someone acted like that in response to a firing from, say, a President Biden, we'd be appalled, but I do wonder, how would the heads be prevented from continuing if they resisted? Some sort of police force?

Alternately, what would happen if they took it to court, claiming the firing is illegitimate?

If the firing is done via tweet, could it be deemed illegitimate since it's already been determined that drump's tweets are not official statements?

the dude could try to pull a dictatorial coup. It may happen while he still has control of the military. Thinking it through in my mind, I believe that the military will contact the State Department and beg them to execute the 25th amendment. I'm fairly sure that is how it will go down. If the cabinet doesn't but instead falls behind tRump's coup attempt then the military will stall until January 20th at noon.

I don't know if this will happen. But I fear that it may. I can think of even worse scenarios as well. I guess it all depends on how truly insane the orange clown actually is.
