Second, he thought giving a gun to a guy who would go nuts if he didn't, was a smart idea.
Seems like he's admitting he knew he was arming an unhinged maniac.

(64,988 posts)No matter who did it, it's incredibly stupid to give a gun to someone because they'll have a meltdown if you don't.
This means that person already know the kid has a short fuse & were worried about it.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have that excuse.
It's essentially, "I was afraid of him if I didn't give him the gun.". Huh?
It's a stupid excuse, or it's made up after the fact.

(50,552 posts)The proper way to deal with this situation would have been to lock and load, aim at Rittenhouses chest, and tell him he has exactly ten seconds to get the fuck off my property or Ill blow you the fuck away; he can have this when he grows the fuck up.
