Is tRump angling for pardons at the Fed and State levels?

Could that possibly be the reason behind and the sound and fury? To be such a nuisance and to threaten the very fabric of the USA as nothing more than to create a bargaining chip to secure assurances from the Feds and NY State that he and his family and businesses will not be prosecuted for their various crimes?

The pardon of Richard Nixon (formally known as Proclamation 4311) was a presidential proclamation issued by President of the United States Gerald Ford on September 8, 1974. By it, Ford granted to Richard Nixon, his predecessor, a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes that he might have committed against the United States as president.[1][2] In particular, the pardon covered Nixon's actions during the Watergate scandal. In a televised broadcast to the nation, Ford, who had succeeded to the presidency upon Nixon's resignation, explained that he felt the pardon was in the best interests of the country and that the Nixon family's situation was "a tragedy in which we all have played a part. It could go on and on and on, or someone must write the end to it. I have concluded that only I can do that, and if I can, I must." - Source: Wikipedia

I mean, it wasn't as if California had a long list of things waiting for Nixon the minute he got back there.

New York however, does as far as Trumpy is concerned.`

And if/when Trump is investigated and prosecuted, should Democrats fail to take control of the Senate after the upcoming Georgia runoff, Joe and Hunter Biden will be the subjects of multiple investigations initiated by the Senate over the next two years.
