I understand it makes for a great tweet and a compelling headline, but one thing is very important to remember;

The White House is for all intents and purposes, a Museum. A national Museum with curators, groundskeepers and a myriad number of staff that look after the property, it's contents and it's appearance.

There ARE people that can and will say "NO! you can't do that" to the whims of EVERY sitting president when it comes to modifications.


I'm willing to bet a days pay that this...whatever it is, was scheduled weeks, if not months ago and amounts to normal, regular maintenance..
