I suppose you could call it strategy when he made this ads calling war hero Max Cleland an Osama Bin Ladin sympathizer
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Wilson_(political_consultant)
Wilson played a big role in the 2002 United States Senate election in Georgia, in which Saxby Chambliss was facing Democratic Party Senator Max Cleland, a disabled veteran and recipient of the Silver Star. He helped make an ad that criticized Cleland, while also tying him to Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Furthermore, the ad seemed to question Cleland's patriotism.

(113,192 posts)they are embarking on efforts to help us win Senate elections in GA and a campaign to expose the corrupt law firms launching Trump's baseless elections lawsuits.
So, inciting to try to get more of us to turn on LP RIGHT NOW is just not going to work. Later on, maybe. We shall see. I will not engage in self-defeating efforts to prove an (invalid) point.

They were phenomenal against trump, and their pro-Biden ads were perfect.
And I liked the new Warnock ad I saw yesterday. They do a great job.
I think we should bribe them to keep them on our side.

(19,264 posts)Let discouraged Republicans donate to the Lincoln Project. Also dollar for dollar Stacey has done a lot more with a lot less.
There isn't much evidence the TLP did anything other than preach to the choir and make us (who were already going to vote for Biden) feel good. Stacey turned friggin Georgia blue.

If people can, they should contribute to both Abrams' organization and The Lincoln Project. But people should feel free to contribute to whichever one they prefer. Better than not contributing to either.

If the LP wants to run some ads for democratic candidates why would anyone care. Even if the ads didn't help. It's not like they are hurting.
The ones who really have seen issue with the LP are "justice Democrats" because they haven't been getting as much money . That's why they are on social media trying to push the lie about how Democrats lost big.
No, a big loss is what happened to Cenk Uygur and Krystal Ball when they ran.

(67,782 posts)Despite the fact that we won the Presidency, we increase our seats in the Senate (with perhaps one or two more), we lost a few seats in the House but most of those were red seats we picked up 2016 anyway.
I think this is an offshoot of the "purity" argument.

Why stir the shit? It does nothing to advance the current agenda. I have listened to many of their townhalls and many times rick has said they have made a serious change and will never be able to go back to the way things were because they now see how wrong they were...
So, let's accept that for now and move on with them and support their effort to help us flip the senate.

(2,194 posts)ALL republicans are bad, and the public will believe you. Lets have some more republicans at our convention, so we can show the general population how its okay to vote for SOME republicans. This is doing us no favor. We will not win over voters if we keep pushing the theory that voting for republicans is okay.
You cant tie Trump to the Republican Party like they deserve to have done to them if you go on and on about the good republicans and then have them star at our convention.
There are no good republicans.

(5,969 posts)or that a certain someone wasn't crucial for Biden's win.
The LP went were many Dems won't go. It's better to have them fighting against Trumpists and they continue to fight for the Dem Senate candidates.
That beats Green party voters and Dem haters by a mile.
And by the way, this is a bit ironic after the mental gymnastics in another thread to support Sanders blocking nominees by Obama for the Postal Service only for them to get nominated by Trump.

(4,044 posts)It is stated as a question and therefore requires a question mark.
I get the phrase "Queen's English" from a line spoken by Sean Connery in some James Bond movie. (He has taught me so much. RIP.)
I never heard the phrase "King's English" before this encounter.
I can see why it's a thing for you. That's a rather royal-sounding user name. Well ... Long live the king!

It's a two-party system. Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, and others, burned their bridges to the other guys. By logic of reduction, they are on our side.
They'll be able to make good money as media producers and consultants.
