I think this is interesting. Pence is in Sanibel, FL for a few days.

https://www.naplesnews.com/story/news/local/2020/11/10/mike-pence-visiting-lee-county-florida/6226614002/

According to this, he and "Mother" will be there until Saturday. It's a "vacation." Somehow, with everything that is going on, it seems odd to me for the VP to take a vacation in Florida just now.

Perhaps he's escaping the risk of contracting COVID-19 in the White House. Maybe he wants nothing to do with what is currently going on in Donald Trump's fevered brain. It could be that he needs some time to write Trump's pardon, should Donwald decide to call it quits and get the Hell out of DC. Maybe it's just that "Mother" wanted to be "at the shore" right now.

In any case, he won't be providing any on-the-spot counsel to King Donald for a few days, assuming he ever did that in the first place. He won't be sharing his supposed "wisdom" in this troubling time for Trump, either.

I have no doubt that Mike Pence would gleefully accept being the 46th President, even if only for a month or two. "Mother" could be the First Lady, too, which would probably be nice for her, even on a short-term basis. They'd get to be in the history books. Pardoning Trump would be a small price to pay to say he'd been President of the United States, I'm thinking.

Whatever is going on, Pence is nowhere to be seen during the interim period before Trump finally accepts his downfall. Perhaps Mike Pence is wiser than he seems. He's staying out of the chaos that is the White House at the moment and kicking back on the exlusive beaches of Sanibel.

The White House is a dangerous place right now. Things are happening quickly, but the place is completely disorganized. Trump appears to be raving even more than usual. Maybe "Mother" is the wise one and told Pence to get the Hell away from there.

Public service no. We all know he should be monitoring Trump because he is the one in the best position to do something about it if necessary.

It may just be easier to have him on an island with limited access for security purposes, not that he deserves any.

We went out on the island for breakfast and a little shell hunting on a beach there. Money is the theme, it seemed to me. You had to have a bunch of it to live on Sanibel. One road in and out. The entire island could quickly be cut off from the mainland for security reasons, as well.

That could be part of the reason he's there, for sure.

I hope Pence is praying. No, really! Maybe his Christianity is not the transactional, fake-it-till-you-make-it-in-politics kind of religion after all, or maybe not completely. If so, maybe he's in seclusion and praying it over, in which case, he might have some kind of revelation and decide to do the right thing in the hope of saving his soul. I know, what soul, but it seems like times like these are what the 25th Amendment was made for. Oh, and prayer.

Sorry to bring you down but his faith is quite situational, flexible, opportunistic, and fake. He’s been trumps boy for 4 Years now too—if his faith isn’t a fraud (it is) whoever he’s been praying to has not been giving him good advice so far.

If he is done worrying about reelection, why would he bother to do any work?

He wasn’t in it for governing, patriotism, helping people, serving or anything like that. He has no genuine morals or sense of duty, so as soon as he lost election, why wouldn’t he just nope on out of there? He has literally no reason to do anything now.

Although: I’ll grant you, the opportunity to be president for a few days would be nice, but he doesn’t have to stop being on vacation for that. It’s not like he has anymore incentive to work as lame duck president than he does as lame duck VP.

I expect a lot of time in Florida for both Trump and pence, and very very very very little in terms of actually working (other than running the shredders—this evidence ain’t gonna destroy itself!)
