He has a very calming effect, because he knows the ins and outs of government, and he knows the law is on his side, and he exudes confidence, not bluster.... He showed empathy, even for Trump and his supporters - "I know what they're feeling. I know what it's like to lose; I get that." He chuckled about Pompeo and Pompeo's statement about a "peaceful transition to a second Trump administration."

Unflappable in the face of Trump's chaos.
