For those of you not given to conspiracies how much of a threat do you think this truly is? To me it seems like many different levels of government would have to conspire so it seems unlikely, but it's a distressing thought nevertheless. Hopefully it's just more fear porn, a common occurrence during this nightmarish administration. It seems that all Trump's legal efforts to undermine the election will ultimately fail. Let's hope then they don't do something even more crazy than usual.

I don't believe it will get organized enough or get enough steam to amount to anything. That said, Dems definitely need to swat down suggestions that Biden isn't the President Elect or that the election was fraudulent. Also need to keep an eye on legal maneuverings and personnel changes. You can't turn your back or sleep on the Orange Clown crowd, they are always probing for weak spots and openings.

I absolutely think that this is a challenge not faced in this country since at least before WW2. An actual coup with or without state armed mobilization, is a significant possibility.

He may think he's laying the groundwork with his firings, but if he thinks the Pentagon will go along, then he's sicker/stupider than anyone previously imagined. If he were to make the attempt, it would put him in a world of legal hurt that would almost certainly end with him doing serious prison time, quite possibly for the rest of his life.

is, and that feeds his incompetency. Right now he is focused on revenge, lashing out at the institutions that did not bow down to the greatest cannibal this country has ever seen. The legal challenges will ultimately fail. The real danger will likely begin if and when he holds his Mussolini style rallies for whatever bogus public reasons. Even then l think saner minds in the crowds will prevail, and the cannibal will not be able to satiate his gruesome appetite for power. We also have to understand that he is attempting to set the stage for a future attempt to destroy our democracy.
