21. Saw someone I know in my town today.

A guy who is a local handyman. Has had many, many challenges in his life, including inflicting a lot of harm on himself in the past. He does not have much money, or very good health. He is now pretty clean & sober, and is honest and hard working. One bright spot in his life...his later-in-life kids, who are teens now and have turned out really well, despite long odds. Good students, ambitious, etc. Well, one kid had covid a couple months ago, and has recovered. Problem is, it's messed with his brain. All of a sudden the kid is having trouble with focus and knowledge retention. It's an issue, and the dad was almost in tears. Who knows how permanent these ancillary effects are.
Be careful, friends, don't get this or spread it, if at all humanly possible.
