And he has shown no willingness to prostrate his career and integrity on the altar of Trump. So this could require more popcorn.

Why does trump want the SOS of GA to resign? TY! And, if the GA senators don't tell lies about the SOS trump will campaign against them?

Call his fucking bluff if I got that right.

From the AJC:

“There’s a lot of noise right now without evidence,” said Jeanne Dufort, a member of the Coalition for Good Governance, an organization that’s suing the state over its voting system. “I don’t see any evidence there was a systemic meltdown of any sort that would make you not have confidence in the outcomes.”

Not saying we should be Pollyanna about this. But my perspective is similar to that of fellow Georgian napi21 (see post #7 in this thread).

Raffensperger is a Republican, so yes, he’s automatically suspect. And, who knows? It may be that he eventually is revealed to be as corrupt as slimeball Brian Kemp, who oversaw his own election to the governorship. But any such evidence has yet to be reported.

When you refer to “Collins,” you obviously mean Susan Collins of Maine. However, defeated Senate candidate Doug Collins, one of the most noxious of Trump’s defenders in the House impeachment hearings, will apparently be heading up some effort to discredit the 2020 election result (entirely ethical, I’m sure, even though he stands to gain by overturning the voters’ decision in the election he lost! ).

All this means that it will be Republicans vs. Republicans as Trump and his toadies try to discredit Georgia’s current Republican Secretary of State. And of course, “Governor” Kemp backed the crook Kelly Loeffler instead of Trump’s handpicked attack dog Doug Collins in this Senate race. So there’s tension between them as well.

Therefore, I maintain my recommendation to procure more popcorn, because I love the smell of Republicans in disarray in the morning.

In the meantime, Stacey Abrams is like a general leading her troops into the final battle!
She organizes! She gives inspirational speeches! She raises millions of dollars!
She GOTV for Ossoff & Warnock!

Ossoff & Warnock have a clear path to victory if we GOTV!

When we vote, we win! 🔵🗳🍑🇺🇸

It is part of the reason why Lindsey Graham behaves and stays in line.

He's got a base and can turn them against people.

You'd think behind the scenes a lot of the GOPers would love to see him gone.

9. Cobb Chairman calls on officials to respect election outcome (AJC)
Wed Nov 11, 2020, 12:08 AM
Nov 2020

In Cobb County -- which is becoming more bluish-purple but historically a Republican stronghold where Newt Gingrich's former Congressional district is located -- the outgoing county Republican chair says his party needs to work with Democrats to achieve a smooth transition.

The Republican chairman of Cobb County, a populous suburb and key partisan battleground, called on state and national leaders to respect the outcome of the recent election and “transition in grace" to incoming elected representatives.

Chairman Mike Boyce, who lost his bid for reelection last week, offered his congratulations to Chair-elect Lisa Cupid, a Democrat and his colleague on the board representing South Cobb. Boyce said he stood ready to assist her in assuming her new role.

“I think it’s also important, that as part of this process, that we have a transition in grace, that we acknowledge the voice of the people, we hear them and we move on,” Boyce said. “I hope that this message gets loud and clear to our national and our state leaders, that this transition in grace is part of the election process.

EDIT

Boyce said he found it “extraordinary” that four years ago nobody complained about the results of the election, "Yet four years later, we have people who question the integrity of the voting process because they lost.”

Boyce, a retired Marine colonel, invoked his service ahead of Veterans Day Wednesday.

WTF is wrong with these people? Well, Loeffler and Perdue are weak-assed crooks. Strong arming them
is part of the repub world. Martha Stewart went to jail for doing what Loeffler did. And Ossoff called Perdue
a crook to his face in debate 1 and Perdue cancelled the next debate.
These races are winnable and if we win, we'll have Abrams to thank.
