She was such a vital individual, I'm having trouble processing this devastating news. It had looked as if she was going to be able to be transferred to a rehab unit, but then she developed a gram negative pneumonia, and that was just more than she could fight.
I'm going to have a good cry and then try to get some sleep.

(31,382 posts)We seldom have enough good friends. Losing one to this horrible virus is such a blow because we'll never know if it would have happened if our response to managing this pandemic had been appropriate.
