"Saddest Prediction in Human History" Was Made About WWI, That Ended Today- 102 Years Ago."

Here it is the prediction:..."It was the war to end all wars." ........

That was said about World War One....also called, "The Great War.".. It ended On November 11,
1918....

It was called, "The Great War" because no one could imagine a war that could be worse.

But 21 years later, there was a war that was much "worse." To understand this quote, one has to
read literature from the 20s and 30s. There was such death and destruction in "The Great War", that historians, writers, and everyone else could not imagine anything worse or as bad.

..But .."worse" came to pass in another war that killed more, far more..., did more destruction.......and is now remembered,

...............As The "Worst War in Human History"...World War II...(1939 -1945).............

that we use the poppy as a symbol for Armistice Day, is that it’s seeds lie dormant in the soil until disturbed. After battles in WW1, fields of poppies would bloom. As in the poem “Flanders Fields”.

Is attributed to Marshal Foch on the signing of the Treaty of Versailles-

‘This is not Peace. It is an Armistice for twenty years.’

Even President Wilson believed so.

One of the first things Hitler did upon taking power was to cancel reparation payments. The payments fueled the rise of the Nazis.
