I know that Biden beat Trump by over 5 million votes, but I'd guess that was as much a reflection of people's disdain for Trump as much as their support of the Democratic agenda. I think the popular vote for every member of the House of Representatives would a better indication of America's preference to Democrat vs Republican.

(5,518 posts)I cobbled together the info for the Senate races but that was only 35 data points. I was curious whether the Senate vote was upside down like it always is against us. Not this time because there was no California or NY up for grabs this time.

(14,852 posts)If it's like the other contests in my county, Trump received slightly fewer votes than down-ballot Republicans and Biden received many more than down-ballot Democrats.
It hints that some people only voted for Biden/Harris and nobody else, at least here.

(14,852 posts)That's similar to my county with Biden having a bigger margin, and there's more total votes for the Presidential contest. Trump received just barely fewer votes than down-ballot Republicans here, though.
As of now per CBS:
Biden
50.8%
77,403,311
Trump
47.4%
