(7,813 posts)If so, that's unfortunate. I really like Toobin (at least when he was on CNN) and I would hope that he could be given a second chance, especially if he had been with that organization for decades.

The same posters whod be demanding termination if it was Tucker Carlson or some other Fox fuckhead.

(25,896 posts)There is no excuse for exposing yourself to your co-workers, online or otherwise. If you stay professional during work hours, i.e. wear pants and only attend one Zoom meeting at a time, Toobin's so-called mistake doesn't happen. It's just not that difficult to avoid flashing people under normal circumstances. What he did was not normal.

(32,828 posts)"On October 19, 2020, Toobin was suspended from The New Yorker after he exposed himself and masturbated during an election scenario exercise conducted via Zoom video call between New Yorker and WNYC radio staffers.[14][15] CNN said Toobin "has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted." Toobin, who contends the incident was unintentional, issued a statement: "I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers."[16] The next month, he was fired from The New Yorker, after an investigation.[17]"
Pulling your pud in front of your co workers should be a firing offense. At a minimum that exposure of your penis in a work setting is sexual harassment.

(1,725 posts)He wrote an excellent book about Clinton's impeachment - very detailed, yet easy to read.
His commentaries were also good - he will be missed.
Duh, though. Sheesh.

I think it was Jeffery Toobin who admitted he was very wrong in pushing the
HRC and her emails story. Nobody else did.
