There is nothing in that article with a Friday deadline suggesting he would get involved.

17. He and Sen. Tom Cotton worry me as to what the future of the GOP might look like.

I'm confident this announcement was not made out of a sense of duty but rather his political future. He's simply paying attention to polishing his record. A little Shinola now is an investment toward that end.

That said, I shall welcome his "involvement" in this current situation.
