They had three kids attending a school and other parents complained the parents were not following Covid protocols that the school expected parents to follow. So they yanked their kids and came up with an excuse.

... Crass, gross, narcissistic, classless. The kind of man who would start a charity for children with cancer, then use the funds as his personal piggy-bank.

It’s not just old-money versus new-money these days, iirc. It’s that you would not only have good manners, but that you would have some sense of contributing something to society, or the country, something beyond just yourself.

Trump, by all accounts, craved to be acknowledged and accepted at that level, and resented it that he never was. But hey, he became El Caudillo del Mar A Lago instead, then potus.

9. The new school is in suburban Maryland.

They claimed it's because the new school has more in-person classes. But the school they took the kids out of is switching to fully in-person, indoors next week, so their excuse is BS.
