relevant to the kinds of problems we've experienced recently. Biden's administration should be asked to weigh in on what would be most effective and constitutional. This can't go unanswered; something must be done to ensure that the country doesn't have to endure this shit again.

... there can be no new legislation, certainly nothing as dramatic as what you propose.

from the other side if we sell it right. It should be stressed that the legislation applies to anyone holding the office of President, certainly not someone of any particular party. It would probably be popular, too. I think most people have been put off by this spectacle and they don't want to see us this vulnerable to another lunatic.

Sometimes it takes a 100 mph shit show to make everyone understand how easy it is for those at the top to destroy this country on a whim.

Our country left a monarchy and vowed not to create one here.

We fought Hitler, Stalin, North Korea and Mussolini. So it makes no sense to make tRump as powerful here just because he's crazy enough to go for it.

I think it HAS to be bi-partisan because tRump has done as much to destroy the Republican party as he has to destroy the US. Sure others began that destruction, but he has given them no way back.

I know they don't care about democracy or ethics or laws or science.... but what about people in the military and national security professionals (something Repubs supposedly cared about)? Old schools Repubs in the military and intelligence services have to be horrified.
